ABSTRACT

The theory of surface waves in recent times has become an essential part of the mathematical tools required by Engineers, mathematicians, physicists and other scientists.

In the development of radio, surface waves were used and professional radio extensively. Early commercial and services relied exclusively on long wave, low frequency and ground-wave propagation. To prevent interface with these were services, amateur and experimental transmitters restricted to the higher frequencies, felt to be useless since their ground-wave range was limited. Upon discovery of the other propagation models possible at medium wave and short wave frequencies, the advantages of the higher frequencies for commercial and military purposes became apparent. Amateur experimentation was then confined only to authorized frequencies in the range.

The refractive index of many cavities constitute an interface that supports "Surface wave transmission". The propagation of surface waves in such structures are used to produce surface waves and behave as a kind of conductor.

The solution has provided an effective means of solving many problems arising in various fields  of science and engineering  particularly in fluid mechanics as shown in the work.
