ABSTRACT
Cadmium exposure is known to induce oxidative stress, leading to detrimental effects on testicular health. This study investigates the potential protective effects of Persea Americana extract against cadmium-induced oxidative damage in rat testes. Male rats were treated with cadmium alone or in combination with Persea Americana extract, and antioxidant parameters including catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels were evaluated. The results demonstrate that Persea Americana extract, particularly at specific doses, attenuates cadmium-induced alterations in antioxidant enzyme activity and lipid peroxidation levels. These findings suggest that Persea Americana extract may offer protection against cadmium-induced oxidative stress in rat testes, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic agent in mitigating the harmful effects of cadmium exposure on testicular health.
