ABSTRACT

This study “students perception on the influence of social media in promoting theatre productions” talks about how students view the influence of different social media platforms in the promotion of theatre productions in terms of advertisement to the general public and also generating good audience engagement and also generation of profit. The research investigates how students view the effectiveness of social media in raising awareness, driving attendance, and shaping their overall impression of theatrical performances.  The project will analyze student perspectives on the types of social media content that resonate most and how social media promotion compares to traditional methods. This study aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of how theatre productions can leverage social media to engage student audiences. The findings can inform strategies for promoting theatre to a younger demographic, potentially leading to increased attendance and a more vibrant theatre scene.
