ABSTRACT
The study investigated students’ attitude towards the use of social media in learning English language in secondary schools in Egor Local Government Area of Edo State. To achieve the purpose of the study, four research questions were raised and examined. The sample size for the study was made up of 100 respondents. The questionnaire was the instrument for data collection. Data gotten from the study was analyzed using mean score and standard deviation. The findings from the study include that both male and female students have a positive attitude towards the use of Social media in learning English Language in secondary schools in Egor Local Government Area of Edo State. It was concluded that students have positive perception about the use of social media for English Language learning in secondary schools in Egor Local Government Area of Edo State. The study among others recommended that school counselors should educate students on the negative and positive influence of Social media on their academic performance.
