ABSTRACT
The study investigated Student-Teacher Relationship and its Influence on Students' Learning Outcome in Secondary Schools in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State as a case study. In the course of this study, the descriptive research survey design was chosen for the study, and simple random techniques were used to get the respondents and data for the survey. A total of two hundred students were used as the sample study size. The instrument was validated and tested for reliability. Responses from the questionnaires were used to answer the five research questions that were raised to guide the study. The findings highlight the numerous benefits of student-teacher relationship, encompassing rapport and trust building, increased engagement which enhances the grades of students and emotional safety. Additionally, communication between the student and teacher is heightened and this helps in the learning outcome of students. Based on the research findings, the study proposes several key recommendations, including encouraging mentorship in schools, employing qualified and sound minded teachers, organizing seminars or workshop for teachers, and teachers reinforcing their students passively, as well as school management or school authority checking and monitoring the teachers to find out how they relate with students, as all these tend to aid positive influence on students' learning outcome.
