Abstract
This study is concerned with assessment of stress management and anxiety among female workers. Descriptive survey was adopted for this study. The study was conducted in the University of Benin. It is Located in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo state. The population of this study comprises the entire female workers of social sciences faculty in University of Benin. Primary andsecondary method of data collection was adopted for this study. The research instrument used for this study is a questionnaire. The findings included among others that: Management of stress is significantly dependent on the sources of stress. Stress significantly affects home management by female workers in university of Benin. Stress significantly affects the job performance of female workers in University of Benin. The study conclude that female workers suffer from stress, which originates from various causes. the following recommendations were made.There is the need for the Federal Government to amend national policy on the minimum working conditions of service in favor of women .Female workers should, as a matter of policy, take time to rest during the day to avoid over working
