The efficacy of BCG vaccine against tuberculosis shows and focuses on evaluating the BCG vaccine received by both in adults and children for the TB treatment.
In order to achieve this, samples are randomly selected in trials from a large population and are given the vaccines. Then the reactions of each samples were taken to ascertain the efficacy of the vaccine using the measures of risk (RR, OR, and AR). Then with the use of SPSS, one sample t-test was constructed to know if there exist any difference in the mean of each trials.
Study showed that the analysis conducted through one sample t-test revealed there is a statistical difference in the means of each of the trials thereby concluding the BCG vaccine was efficacious.
