ABSTRACT
The aim of this project is to statistically analyze student expenditure in Tertiary institute using University of Benin as a case study.
A total of 398 questionnaires were drafted and administered after a thorough validation by the Supervisor. 371 of the questionnaire were recovered after filling in by the respondents.
The results were analyzed using SPSS version 20.0 and represented in the tables.
From the results, an average N 149,700 calculated as the amount spent per semester by an average University of Benin student on important issues excluding expenses on religion, accommodation and tuition fee.
We also suggested that the school management should build more hos tels in other to reduce the cost of living of students living off-campus.
