The study is Staff Training and Manpower Development in Nigeria Universities: A Case Study of the Training and Development of Staff of Benson Idahosa University (2010-2021). Three hypotheses were postulated and tested. The following findings were arrived at:

Adequate training and development is significant

Effective training need assessment is significant

Proper placement of staff after training and development is significant to improvement of workers performance.

Proper training need assessment be carried out by consultants.

Training and development should cut across all cadre of staff both in academic and non-academic.

Training and development must be relevant to the next or current job to be perform by staff.

Training and development division to be established in the Human Resource Department.

Effective statistics of staff training, types of training, year and usage.

Training and development must be well co-ordinated to enable the organization benefit.

Management of Benson Idahosa University should evolve a progressive staff development policy to acquire higher qualifications.
