ABSTRACT
Speech-to-text technology has been applied to enhance learning and information. Generally this technology has been of great use to various aspects of life and domain. The SDLC model have been adopted as the research methodology for this project. It is a flutter based mobile application written with dart programming language to cut back major limitations plaguing the current system. Cognitive and physically disabled students or foreign students are mostly targeted for such systems. The speech-to-text mobile application converts words spoken in different languages into text document, it can be altered, edited and stored in a database. The application has a registration page (Login page) where users logging in for the first time would input their Gmail and have access to the system. The speech-to-text generated texts enable students to understand learning content of a lecturer better, to confirm missed or misheard parts of a lesson, to take notes or complete assignments, and to prepare for exams. Furthermore, some implications over the speech-to-text technology in pedagogical and technological aspects were discussed in the review, such as the design of technology-based learning activities, accuracy rate of speech-to-text process and learning behaviours to use speech to texts that may limit the speech-to-text educational value. Thus, the review discussed some potential solutions for the future research.
