ABSTRACT
A power inverter is an electronic device that converts direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC) and it is widely used to power electronic device and appliances, including renewable energy systems. In powering the inverter, the choice of batteries is very important, batteries can affect the efficiency of the inverter. In this project, the aim was to look into the factors that should be considered when choosing a battery for an inverter. To achieve this goal, research and practical was carried out on power inverters, batteries, and deep cycle water, we also analyzed the available on the performance, lifespan and cost of different types of batteries was conducted. Based on the review and analysis, a 220AH 24V inverter was chosen to power the inverter as it had more efficiency and long-life span and it also met the required specifications.
