ABSTRACT
Marital fertility is a major cause of increase in population in the world including Warri which is the study area.The aim of this research is to assess the spatial pattern of marital fertility in Warri. Questionnaires were also administered to obtain information from the dwellers of the three areas under study (Okumagba, Pessu and Warri GRA) in warri. Descriptive statistical technique was employed to summarize the socio-economic data and correlation was used to determine the relationship between spatial pattern and marital fertility in Warri. The study revealed that there is a high rate of fertility in the study area and this could be as a result of the age of entering into marriage and low mortality due to better health care. So there is the need to put in place agencies that would create more awareness on family planning which can check the high rate of fertility that causes increase in population.
