ABSTRACT
In this work the Schrödinger wave equation is discussed, and the ways in which the time dependent and independent form of the equation can be derived is also stated. There are several methods that can be used to find the solution to the Schrödinger wave equation, some of which are also discussed in this project along with various potentials used in solving the equation. In this project the approximate analytical solution of the radial Schrödinger equation is obtained with the Eckart potential using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method. To achieve this the energy equation and the corresponding wave function are calculated using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method.
