ABSTRACT
Differential equation is an important topic in mathematics which has wide applications in engineering, physical sciences and biological sciences. Many practical problems like decay of a certain substance, change in temperature of a body, increase in population can be solved with the help of differential equation. These differential equations modelled from physical phenomena tend to be nonlinear in nature, therefore makes it challenging to find analytical answers. In this study, the differential transform method (DTM) is used to find approximate solutions to linear and non-linear differential equations. The application of Differential transform method to these categories of differential equations reveals that DTM is accurate, easy to apply, efficient and superior to other known numerical schemes.
