ABSTRACT
This research project lays out the analysis of the use of swear words in Edo Language. The aim and objective of this work is to relate the attitude of the Edo People and the use of swear words in Edo Language. The Socio-linguistics analysis of swear words in Edo State is the focus of this work and it points out the reasons why swear words are being used by the Edo People.
The research work was divided into five chapters. The first chapter introduces the work. It also contains the language of study, significance of study as well as the methodology adopted. Chapter two reviewed literature, relevant to the course of this work. Chapter three explains the data presentation adopted for the research. Chapter four analysis and discussion; while chapter five concluded and summarized the research output.
