The chapter two of this study provided a comprehensive overview of the history of Nkalagu culture and origin before the colonial period. Nkalagu has a deep-rooted history that spans centuries, and its culture is a vibrant amalgamation of indigenous traditions, migrations, interactions with neighboring communities, and external influences. The origin of Nkalagu can be traced back to ancient times when the area was inhabited by indigenous communities whose livelihoods were primarily based on agriculture and hunting. These early settlements laid the foundation for the cultural development of Nkalagu, with customs, beliefs, and practices that were deeply connected to the land and the natural environment.
