SOCIAL MEDIA AND STUDENT ATTITUDE ON ACADEMICS IN UNIVERSITY OF BENIN, UGBOWO, BENIN CITY

ABSTRACT

The study was carried out on Social Media and Student Attitude on Academics of the students in University of Benin, Benin City Edo state. Four research questions were formulated to guide the research. Case study research design was adopted for this study. The study population consisted of 750 students from across all faculties of the school and 50 students randomly selected from each of the faculty for the study. The researcher used a structured questionnaire as the instrument for data collection. The data collected were presented in tables and analysed using and descriptive statistics consisting of mean. Criterion mean score of 2.5 was used as a benchmark for the purpose of decision making.
