ABSTRACT
This study examines Social Media and its Fight against Covid-19 in Nigeria. It reveals the Historical Background of COVID-19 in Nigeria, the various social media platform used to spread Information during the COVID-19 period in Nigeria, the role and impact of social media on public awareness and education about COVID-19, the accuracy and credibility of COVID-19 information disseminated on social media, and how social media contributed to educating the Nigerian population about the virus, its symptoms, and preventive measures, as well as the challenges it faced. During the course of this study, it was found that traditional modes of communication are increasingly giving way to new and modern communication patterns aided by the use of technological tools and the internet.
