ABSTRACT

Literature has always been and always will be a tool for people who want to break free from social constraints, especially those that hinder effective governance. The poetry collection War Against Indiscipline and Other Poems by Solomon Unoh is extremely important and pertinent to African culture. Therefore, this literary analysis looks at the societal issues Unoh brings up and how to address them. The essay also discusses how oppressed people are denied access to decent governance. One of the issues the general public has is political hypocrisy. Other issues include theft from public resources and dictatorship. Unoh exposed societal degeneration, particularly that of individuals in positions of authority. He criticizes everyone, including politicians and public servants who mistreat civilians. To stop those who are eroding the nation of every human society, Unoh consequently calls for a revolution. He inspires every sentient man and woman to struggle against egotistical goals, unethical behavior, individualism, and favoritism that obstruct social justice through imaginative and potent characterization. Every member of society must voice their displeasure by unanimity against terrible leaders and their policies in order to combat bad governance and corruption.
