ABSTRACT
The uncertainty about the SARS-CoV-2 origin is still an important aspect of this pandemic, and needs much attention to stop like ones in future. Initially there were reports that suggested the virus might have originated from bats, which are already known as a natural reservoir for various CoVs, including SARSCoV- like and MERS-CoV-like viruses. The 2019 to 2021 coronavirus pandemic was caused by an illness that was initially discovered in December 2019 in Wuhan, the capital of China's Hubei province. Since then, the disease has spread around the world. This study was conducted to determine the seroprevalence of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies amongst the students of the faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy, Basic Med. Sciences and Dentistry in the University of Benin. Cross sectional date was collected with the ODK app (open data Kit) to allow real time monitoring and transmission of data.
