ABSTRACT
This study investigated school culture and parenting style as correlate of career decision making among senior secondary school students in Benin metropolis. Nine research questions were raised and their corresponding hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 alpha level of significance. Related literatures were reviewed based on the theoretical framework and on major concepts of the study; concept of school culture, parenting style and career decision making. The descriptive survey design was adopted and a sample size of three hundred (300) students were selected using a simple random sampling technique.The instrument for this study is a questionnaire titled "Career decision making Questionnaire ". The instrument is divided into four sections that is section ABC and D. Section A sought the demographic information of the respondents, section B will comprise of eight items on school culture, section C comprise twelve items on parenting style and section D comprise ten items on career decision making based on a four point Likert scale. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics such as mean and standard deviation and inferential statistics such as Fishers Z-Test Statistics.
