ABSTRACT
In view of the recent global recession Nigeria inclusive, funds allocated for maintenance and rehabilitation has had his own share of being affected. Because of this trend, it has become of utmost importance to develop a pavement management system that would effectively manage the allocation of funds without affecting substantial level of maintenance and rehabilitation requirement. The study area consists of five roads between first and third east circular road of Benin City. During the process of this study various distresses and their respective extent of route survey and geometric design of the roads Chapter 1 talks about the background of the study, aims and objectives and the scope of the work on Page 12.
