ABSTRACT

The construction industry in Edo State, Nigeria, has witnessed substantial growth and transformation, with public-private partnership (PPP) projects playing a pivotal role in the development landscape. Quantity surveyors, as adept professionals specializing in financial and contractual management within the construction sector, are instrumental in the successful execution of PPP initiatives. This study delves into the multifaceted roles and contributions of quantity surveyors in the effective implementation of PPP projects in Edo State. Quantity surveyors bring invaluable expertise to the table, encompassing vital aspects such as cost estimation, budgeting, procurement, tendering, cost control, value engineering, and final account settlement.
