ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research project was to examine how small businesses handle risk. In order to provide a cross-section of Nigerian small enterprises, the researcher focused the analysis of this study on a few chosen manufacturing, service, and trade companies. The goal of the study is to investigate how small company owners see risk and risk management. Additionally, the researcher plans to identify and analyze the many forms of risk that are connected to small businesses.
The analysis of gender issues related to risk management, understanding the issues they face, and providing potential answers are other goals of this study. The ultimate goal is to evaluate the assumptions developed for this research and, if required, provide conclusions and recommendations that will assist Nigerian small business owners and, if not, the whole globe. Data that was tabulated and examined using chi-square and percentage analysis supported a hypothesis.
It is intended that the suggestions presented in the final chapters of this research study would encourage company owners and administrators to alter their perspectives on risk and risk management, respectively.
