ABSTRACT

This project work is on reverse engineering of a 3.5KVA Bluegate inverter. Most of the inverters available in the market does not come with detailed circuit diagram and to repair them when they are faulty becomes a big problem. The main purpose of this work is to trace and develop a detailed circuit diagram for a 3.5kva Bluegate inverter and also generate a code that can work with the microcontroller. The methodology undertaken on this project is divided into two main parts. The first part is to carefully study the hardware component, trace the component to see how they were all connected, then generate a detailed circuit diagram, compare it to other theoretical based design. The different stages involved were also identified. The second part was carrying out the circuit simulation using Proteus circuit simulator and generating the complete codes for the microcontroller. Simulation, test and analysis of the design circuit was carried out. The result was satisfactory.
