ABSTRACT
Contamination of soil with heavy metals is a problem that affects the entire world and ultimately leads to toxicity and diseases in humans and animals through eating of food crops grown in contaminated soil. Even though these metals play no biological role, they still have toxic consequences that are detrimental to the human body and its normal functioning. There are numerous recognized sources of dangerous metals, including the earth, which releases them into food, air, and water, as well as anthropogenic activities including the use of pesticides and herbicides in agriculture, as well as irrigation. This study determined the potential of poultrydroppings in reclaiming E-waste contaminated soil. The contaminated soils were amended with poultry droppings at the ratio of 5%,10%,15%,20% and 25%. The duration of the experiment was 4 weeks and irrigation was carried out on the pots every 4 days. After the remediation period, the physio chemical properties and heavy metals concentration of the amended soil samples where checked and compared with the physio-chemical properties and heavy metal concentration before remediation.
