ABSTRACT
E-learning materials have become an essential tool that facilitates teaching and learning in the modern system of education, through the use of e-learning materials such as smartphones, computers, projectors and e-books, students tends to acquire more knowledge and experience a larger scope of learning.
The study adopted a descriptive survey research design, relevant literatures were reviewed from journals, textbooks, internet vocals and magazines. Four research questions were conducted for the goal of the study. Proportionate stratified random sampling technique was used in selection of one hundred and ninety eight (198) students from five (5) randomly selected faculties.
The findings of the study revealed among others that the maximum availability of e-learning materials in the learning environment increases students interest in learning and provides a better space for effective teaching and learning, it also helps in the development of soft skills amongst the students and help them adapt to recent changes.
It was therefore concluded that all hands should be on deck to ensure that the federal government, state and other reputable individuals assists in making the necessary e-learning materials available and updated in tertiary institutions to ensure effective teaching and learning. Students are also advised to effectively make good use of the e-learning materials available in their various institutions wisely.
