REINFORCEMENT, HEALTHY EATING AND AFTER SCHOOL LESSON

ABSTRACT

This study "Reinforcement, Healthy eating and After school lesson as predictor of kindergarten pupils academic performance" sought to find out if there is a link between reinforcement and academic performance, healthy eating and academic performance and after school lesson and academic performance. The researcher also wanted to ascertain if these three factors; reinforcement, healthy eating and after school lesson could be used to predict the academic performance of kindergarten pupils. The researcher focused on some selected public and private kindergartens in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State. The quest for improvement in academic performance will always be on demand hence the researcher embarked on this study to discover tools that could be used to foster improvement in academic achievement levels of pupils. The research methodology used in the course of this study was the correlation research design with questionnaire as the instrument for data collection. In analyzing the data, mean, cluster mean, coefficient, variance and standard deviation were used. A lot of research has been done on reinforcement, healthy eating and after school lesson in relation to academic performance and the results gotten from the literature reviewed showcased these factors when properly implemented could improve the academic performance of pupils. The results of this study were no different and it is concluded that reinforcement, healthy eating and after school lesson do have an influence on the academic performance of kindergarten pupils.
