ABSTRACT

When learning takes place in an appropriate or supportive setting, it is more successful. When the complementary skills of creativity and critical thinking are applied, this is much more true. Lack of necessary infrastructure at a studio, which serves as an artist's workspace, might impede creativity. The Graphic Section of the Department of Fine and Applied Arts at the University of Benin does not have the 300 and 400 level studios that are necessary for an efficient study and teaching of Graphic Design. The graduating class of 2021/2022 chose to take on the task of renovating the studio to make it a more conducive learning environment based only on this principle. In order to accomplish this, the studio will be furnished with the necessary items like desks, electrical fixtures, chairs, etc. It is envisaged that the studio would stimulate and encourage creativity in both current and upcoming graphic students in the Department with the installation of these facilities.
