ABSTRACT

This research work examine the impact of agricultural education on students preparedness for post-secondary education or entry into work force in Egor Local Government, Edo State. The study determined the level of preparedness of students experience towards post-secondary education or the workforce after undergoing Agricultural education. The study investigated the alignment between Nigeria's Agricultural education curriculum and the evolving needs and practices of the contemporary Agricultural industry. It also assessed the efficacy of the Agricultural education system in Nigeria in terms of instilling both subject-specific and transferable skills in students. The story examined the perceived strengths and weaknesses of the Agricultural education system. The study analyze the impact of Agricultural education on the career paths, decisions, and outcomes of its graduates within the Nigerian context The study adopted the survey descriptive research design and with the aid of convenience sampling method, the researcher purposively selected one hundred and twenty (120) participant for the study. Self- structure questionnaire was issued to the respondent of which one hundred and twenty (120 ) was retrieved and validated for the study. Data was analyzed using simple percentage, presented in frequencies and tables. Hypothesis test was conducted using Chi-Square Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS v.23).
