ABSTRACT

The physicochemical properties of ground water within Ekosodin and Evbuomore Communities in located in Benin City, Edo State has been investigated. The water sample obtained was analyzed for physicochemical parameters. The result shows that physicochemical parameters of water samples obtained from boreholes is as follows: pH range from 4.7 – 6.68, Temperature 27 – 29⁰C, conductivity 16.0 – 147.5µs/cm, Nitrate 1.6 – 2.7mg/L, Turbidity 1.17 – 4.11mg/L, Chloride 127.62 – 304.8mg/L, Sulphate 1.8 – 57.6mg/L. The study therefore recommends that water sample from the two communities should be frequently monitored and treated before usage in order to safeguard human lives.
