ABSTRACT

This study evaluated Public Relations and the growth of Corporate organization; A study of select organizations in Benin City, Nigeria. To this end, a total number of 240 copies of questionnaire were administered to respondents from two organizations (University of Benin and Seven- up Bottling Company) in an orderly manner to ensure that the opinions of all the respondents were properly documented and analyzed. The study x- rays the area of crisis/ issues management, roles and publics of Public Relations, causes of organizational conflicts and concepts of corporate organization. It also shows that the presence of public relations in any organization or institution is like an elixir. It solves relatively all problems both internal and external issues and also creates a long lasting image for an organization which can lead to growth of corporate organization. This study established that the place of public relations in an organization is very important and cannot be traded for any other unit of an organization. Literature related to the study was reviewed and a theory that explains the research topic was adopted. Research questions were answered in the study which formed the basis of the finding.
