ABSTRACT

This study examines how Nigerians perceive the impact of digitalization on traditional print media. With the rapid advancement of digital technologies, traditional print media have evolved into digital versions. Understanding public perception is crucial for media organizations and policymakers. A survey of a representative sample of Nigerians revealed that most are aware of and embrace the digital transformation of print media. However, opinions vary regarding the reliability of digitalized print media compared to traditional sources. Recommendations include promoting digital literacy, ensuring accessibility and affordability of digital media, maintaining content quality, and fostering community engagement. These efforts aim to address challenges and opportunities associated with digital transformation, contributing to a vibrant media ecosystem in Nigeria.
