This study has shown that community pharmacy is the most preferred career choice of pharmacy students, closely followed by hospital pharmacy.
The factors most important for general career and job considerations are advancement opportunities and salary. The least important factor is geographic location.
There is an increase in preference for community pharmacy 10 years after graduation. There is also a decrease in the preference for hospital practice from graduation to 10 years after graduation.
