ABSTRACT

This study focuses on the production of secondary metabolites by Aspergillus niger and the essential conditions required for their optimal synthesis. Aspergillus niger, a filamentous fungus, is renowned for its capability to produce a diverse array of secondary metabolites with industrial and pharmaceutical significance. The primary aim of this investigation is to explore the specific conditions that promote the production of secondary metabolites in A. niger cultures. The materials and methods section of the study encompasses the cultivation of Aspergillus niger in various growth media, manipulating carbon and nitrogen sources, introducing contamination and exposure to ultraviolet radiation. These parameters are systematically adjusted to ascertain their impact on secondary metabolite production. The results of the experimentation reveal intricate relationships between culture conditions and the synthesis of secondary metabolites in Aspergillus niger. The study further demonstrates that altered culture conditions can lead to modifications in the metabolite profile. In conclusion, this research sheds light on the pivotal factors governing secondary metabolite production in Aspergillus niger cultures. The findings underscore the potential for optimizing culture conditions to enhance the yield of specific secondary metabolites of interest. Such insights contribute to the broader understanding of fungal metabolism and offer valuable guidance for biotechnological applications, including the production of bioactive compounds and industrial enzymes.
