ABSTRACT
A disinfectant is a chemical agent used on surfaces and inanimate objects to destroy fungi, bacteria, and viruses that can infect but not destroy spores. This work focuses on the production of a disinfectant; methylated spirit also known as denatured alcohol comprises of ethanol with additives chosen to make it undrinkable. this production was a 1:1 type of product which was achieved using solvent ethanol and methanol and distilled water as diluent. The production was achieved under a serene condition in the laboratory. This product can now be used in the laboratory, household and in the hospital setting
