SUMMARY
From the findings of this research work, it is discovered that urine is normally sterile but the presence of bacteria could indicate urinary tract infections. Gram negative bacteria Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumonia, Proteus mirabilis and Gram positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Enterococcus faecalis were the most common UTI related pathogen isolated. Females were more prone of infection as a result of their reproductive anatomy, hence proper hygiene is highly recommended.
