BACKGROUND: Nurses are the unsung heroes on the front lines of the healthcare industry, providing compassionate care and crucial support to patients. However, the relentless demands of the profession, coupled with staffing shortages and an ever-increasing workload, have given rise to a silent epidemic – burnout among nurses. Burnout not only jeopardizes the well-being of nurses but also poses a severe threat to the quality of healthcare delivery. Exhausted and demoralized nurses are more prone to errors, diminished empathy, and compromised patient safety.
