ABSTRACT
The study examined: Press coverage on Feminal violence against men in Nigeria. The study adopted the content analysis research design. The study population is 150 and a sample size of 25 was used. The following findings were made: The frequency of coverage of issues relating to feminal violence against Men is poor and grossly inadequate; The direction of the Nigerian press on issues of feminal violence against men is neutral; The nature of Feminal violence against men that Nigerian press pay attention to is majorly News with little attention given to editorials; The magnitude of coverage of Feminal violence against men in Nigeria by the Nigerian press is very poor and left much to be desired; Nigerian press attach little or no significance to issues of Feminal violence against men. The study recommends the following: Nigeria newspaper should give adequate coverage to issues that borders on feminal violence against men; The newspapers under study should endeavor to employ a specialize reporter to cover issues on feminal violence against men worldwide; Relevant authorities like the Nigeria Union of Journalist and specialize institutions like Nigeria Broadcasting Academy (NBA) should see to it that press coverage of the subject matter is fair and adequate; Specialize courts should be established to ensure that female perpetrators are brought to book; The press should not fail to carry out their duties of educating the masses on relevant issues like feminal violence against men.
