Summary
In the study, the researcher examined premarital sex among secondary school students in Egor Local Government Area, Edo State. Five research questions were postulated as well as five objectives. The study looked at the perceived effect of engagement of premarital sex and its consequences in secondary schools. The consequences as revealed by the study include HIV/AIDs (94.1%) and pregnancy (99%), all of which are hereby seem to have biological effect in nature. The psychological consequences identified include depression (96.2%), untimely death (30.3%) etc. It can also leads to poor academic performance and alienation from peers, particularly close friends.
