ABSTRACT
This project is a proof of concept work, where playground equipment is implemented for power generation. Since the issue of electricity in Nigeria is increasing day by day, we designed a system that utilizes the energy that is going to waste and convert it into useful electrical energy. In playgrounds, we see a lot of energy going to waste. We have designed a see-saw that utilizes the mechanical energy and converts it into useful electrical energy. The energy that is converted is sufficient enough to power an LED bulb. Results show that with some modification and improvement to the current design, the seesaw may indeed provide a viable method to produce electricity on a larger scale.
