ABSTRACT
High post harvest losses in developing countries negate the effort geared towards improving food security, maize is an important statple food crop in Nigeria, on this note there is need for proper handling of maize after harvesting so as to meet international standard for maize product use. This study assessed post-harvest handling information sources among small scale maize farmers in Edo State, Nigeria. Specifically examine the socio-economic characteristics of small scale maize farmers in Edo State; identify respondents participation in maize post harvest handling; ascertain respondents frequency of information sourcing on post harvesting handling activities; identify constraint face by respondents in accessing postharvest handling information.
