ABSTRACT
The maritime industry plays a critical role in global trade and commerce, facilitating the movement of goods and resources around the world. However, this industry is also a significant source of pollution, with various types of pollutants being released into the air and water. The effects of this pollution can be far-reaching, impacting not only marine ecosystems but also human health and well-being. As such, it is essential to understand the nature and extent of pollution in the maritime industry and to explore ways to mitigate its effects. The objective of this project is to examine the problem of pollution in the maritime industry and its effects on the environment and society. Specifically, the project will explore the different types of pollution that affect the industry, the impacts of pollution on marine ecosystems, and the regulations and policies that are in place to control pollution. The project will also include case studies of pollution incidents in the industry and their impacts, as well as recommendations for future action. By examining the problem of pollution in the maritime industry, this project aims to raise awareness of the issue and highlight the need for action to address it. It is our hope that this project will contribute to ongoing efforts to promote sustainable and responsible practices in the maritime industry, and to protect the health and well-being of our planet and its inhabitants.
