The issue of bad government, favoritism, nepotism, slavery, bribery and corruption are vices that slow the growth of any nation, and looking away, will further increase the pain the people will be subjected to because corruptions lead to suffering when some privileged decide to think of themselves alone. This leads to stunted growth and lack of development in a nation. Africa is known for her height of corruption and bad leadership. Many leaders from Africa make use of force and power on their citizens instead of leading them right and that is what the primary texts; Colourless Rainbow and Firstfruit and Other Harvest is discussing. The solution to these social and political vices leading to war, conflict and depression is for the people to stay optimistic and carry the mindset of a winner and stay as a team.
