ABSTRACT

The physiological analysis of potable water (Olivia and Uniben table water )/ borehole water at Uniben hostels and Depot Road, Benin City, Edo state .The experiment  was  carriedout  using the Benchtop pH meter.

The benchtop pH meter was used to detect the pH , electrical conductivity and total dissolved solids.the results are given below in respect of hoenthe water samples were listed above.

The pH  were 6.88, 5.72, 5.13, 6.02 respectively while the electrical conductivity were 42.00ms/cm, 150.00ms/cm, 32.00ms/cm and 32.00ms/cm respectively. And also the Total Dissolved Solid (T.D.S) were also detected using the Benchtop pH meter. The benchtop can be used to chect the electrical conductivity, pH and the T.D.S, meanwhile the T.D.S value for each water sample were 21.00ppm, 77.00ppm, 18.00ppm and 17.00ppm respectively. The heavy metal usedd were Chromium (Cr) and Nickel (Ni). The result wee also compared with the World Health Organization (W.H.O) standard.
