ABSTRACT
Cow dung is the undigested remnant of plant materials that has been digested by the cow's digestive tract. Cow manure is mineral-rich. This study proposes an efficient method to utilize this waste without causing harm to the soil and the atmosphere. By converting cow dung to biochar at a pyrolysis temperature of 350OC, it can be applied to acidic soils to increase the pH as the pH of this cow dung was 8.64. The bulk density was 0.423g/cm3 which is lower than 0.6 g/cm3 hence can be used to reduce the bulk density of the soil and improve the soil’s quality.
