ABSTRACT
This study examined the nature and manifestations of the Rwanda crisis with reference to Kofi Annan role in the Rwanda crisis. The first chapter examined the causes and remote causes of the crisis and the impact of the Rwanda crisis on the socioeconomic and political institutions of the Rwanda people. The second chapter examined the involvements of individual non-state actor in the person of Kofi Annan in curbing the Rwanda crisis. The study examines the various conflict resolution meetings that were carryout by the Kofi Annan led team and what was the nature of resolution. The third chapter examined an assessment of Kofi Annan conflict resolution strategies in curbing the Rwanda crisis. The chapter will also examine the various challenges faced by Kofi Annan led conflict resolution towards resolving the Rwanda crisis. It should be noted here that genocide is commemorated annually in Rwanda in various Kwibuka (to remember in Kinyarwanda) ceremonies.
