ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to investigate the linguistics intricacies and communicative dynamics of personal and impersonal pronouns across a variety of languages. The study examines how these pronouns differ in how they influence interpersonal communication and transmit various levels of subjectivity. The study begins with a thorough examination of personal pronouns, looking at how they support direct address, convey distinct viewpoints, and aid in speaker and listener identification. The inquiry also looks at first-, second-, and third-person pronouns, emphasizing the grammatical purposes and context-specific uses of these pronouns in linguistic expressions. This study, employs a purely descriptive framework for analysis. In order to ensure a thorough understanding of the use of personal and impersonal pronouns, the methodology combines corpus research, linguistic analysis, and native speaker insights. To understand how context influences pronoun choice, contextual factors including formality and sociocultural norms are examined. The study also examines the use of impersonal pronouns, looking into how they contribute to the creation of generalized assertions. The research seeks to further linguistics theory and shed light on the understated but significant role that personal and impersonal pronouns have in influencing language and conversation through this interdisciplinary approach. In the end, the research’s findings offer important new understandings of the complex web of pronoun usage in human communication.
