PERFORMANCE CHALLENGES IN CLOUD COMPUTING

ABSTRACT

Performance Challenges in Cloud computing is a very fascinating concert these days it is attracting so many organizations to move their utilities and applications into a dedicated data centers, Cloud computing is a type of parallel, virtual, distributed, configurable and flexible system that refers to the provision of applications such as hardware and software in virtual data centers over the Internet. The data gathered were presented according to the order in which they were arranged in the research questions, simple percentage were used to analyze the demographic information of the respondents, while Pearson correlation was adopted to test the research hypotheses. Since the r- calculated (p-value= 0.000) is less than the r- tabulated 0.05, the null hypothesis was rejected and  the alternative hypothesis was accepted, thereby concluding that there is a significant relationship between internet usage and cloud security system. The research concluded cloud computing had gained widespread adoption among manufacturing firms in Benin City, Edo State with 90% of themusing some form of cloud computing. Adoption has accelerated in recent years due to the need to increase efficiency and cut costs.
