The aim of this study was to determine the effect of performance appraisal on organizational productivity in Zenith Bank plc, Ikpoba Hill Branch. The study was guided by the following questions; is there any significant relationship between performance appraisal and organizations productivity in zenith Bank plc? Are there various performance appraisal Techniques in Zenith Bank plc? Does performance appraisal have any effect on employees’ productivity in Zenith Bank? What are the common problems associated with employee performance appraisal? And how does proper appraisal enhance productivity in Zenith Bank plc?
A descriptive research was used, questionnaires were used in obtaining data. The total population was 42 from zenith Bank ikpoba hill. 42 questionnaires were administered and 42 were returned. Data analysis was carried out through descriptive statistics and regression analysis through the use of SPSS. From the findings, it was discovered that Zenith Bank ikpoba hill branch has an Appraisal system and that the grading method is used in appraising employees’. It was also discovered that there is a significant relationship between performance appraisal and organizational productivity, and that the appraisal technique affects the productivity of employees in zenith Bank ikpoba hill branch.
The study concluded that Performance Appraisal impacts the Performance of employees and that feedback is very important after every appraisal process. The study recommended that the organization adopts a different Appraisal technique in order to ensure that it is effective and fair amongst all employees’
